Our Ministries.
We believe that Christ called us to minister to those around us – especially the least of those. We live this out by serving the Lord, serving our Community, serving our Neighbors, and serving the World in discipleship and ministry.
Serving Our Lord.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
(Deut. 6:5)
Children’s Church
Jesus commanded them to let the children come to him so that he might teach them and love them. We take not just the words of Jesus, but his actions and his life as the truth of our ministry at New Hope Methodist and that begins by loving our children. We believe that begins with worship. Children are present in worship alongside their parents learning to praise, to pray, the give, and to serve.
Each week, Pastor Payton spends time during service having a Children’s Moment before they are dismissed for the second half of service into our brand-new Fellowship Hall and Sunday School rooms to learn about Jesus in their own way.
At New Hope, our children’s safety comes first, and that begins by making sure that all of our adults have attended Safe Sanctuary Training to understand etiquette and expectations when interacting with our children, and each teacher has submitted to an annual background check. We do this to keep all members of our congregation safe and focused on serving the Lord as Christian disciples.

Student Ministries (6th-12th Grade)
Tribe412 is our Student Ministry geared towards creating a space for our Jr. High and Sr. High School students to come together for fellowship, study, and service. These can be difficult and isolating years for anybody and in an increasingly online world, we need a space… a tribe we can call our own. Rooted in 1 Timothy 4:12 when Paul encourages the young Timothy to lead with the courage, strength, integrity, and faith that God has given him. We see those same qualities in this generation, and we are committed to teaching, encourage, and providing opportunities for them to know and serve God too.
The Girlfriend’s Club
The New Hope Girlfriend’s Glub is a New Hope ministry for women of all ages offering a loving support system and opportunities to grow together in faith and friendship through Bible Studies, Devotional Times, Gatherings in Homes, Mission Projects, Dinners, Movies, and Retreats.

Tuesday Bible Study
We can’t claim that we are of the Lord unless we are committed to learning about the Lord, training our minds and our hearts to be rooted in His word. At New Hope, we are committed to be a people of the Word, rooting ourselves in it firmly. Each Tuesday, Pastor Payton hosts 12pm and 6pm bible studies for both New Hope and Macedonia Methodist (as well as anybody who wants to join us!), help lead study and discussion that roots us further in the word and, just as importantly, roots the Word into us. New Hope hosts the 12pm bible study each week in our Fellowship Hall, and Macedonia Methodist Chruch hosts the 6pm study in their Pavillion. Join us each week as we engage in fellowship and faith with one another!
Tuesdays @ 12:00pm & 6:00pm
Serving Our Community.
If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you.
(John 13:14-15)
W.A.R.M
Waller Assistance and Restoration Ministries has been a long-time ministry partner for New Hope Methodist Church. With a mission to help the underserved in Waller County and its surrounding communities, W.A.R.M is a place where New Hope is able to offer time and donations to help come alongside W.A.R.M in their ministry.

Field Store Elementary School
We are proud to be able to come alongside our local elementary school and help support the students and teachers of this wonderful school in their quest to provide a safe, fun learning environment for the children of Waller County and the Field Store Community. Each year, we help to provide assistance through drives and help to put on a breakfast or luncheon to let the teachers know our appreciation throughout the year.
Serving Our Neighbors.
…but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
(Lev. 19:18b)
Kairos Outside
Prison ministries have been at the heart of the Methodist movement since the days of John Wesley and we are proud to carry on in that same tradition of caring for those that are lost and those that are in need.
Kairos prison ministries serves over 27,000 people across three ministries each and every year, and New Hope is proud to partner with their Kairos Outside prison ministries for women and family members in need of support while their loved one is incarcerated. Over 3.5 wonderful days, the community comes together to love on and minister to a group of incredible women who, often, are forgotten and their stories go unheard. But we know that God hears their stories and “the God who sees” sees them perfectly, and we have been called to see them and love them as well. Serving the World.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)

One Child International
In Fall of 2024, New Hope Methodist Church felt a call to not only serve within our community and the greater Houston area, but to reach beyond ourselves and work to serve the world. After prayerful consideration and discernment, it was placed upon our hearts to begin a relationship with One Child International, sponsoring 4 young students in Zimbabwe on a quest to give them a gospel-centered life. While we are just beginning our journey with them, we like to think of Tadiwanashe, Nigel, Tanyaradzwa, and Nicole as part of the extended New Hope family!
